NOTHING IS INSIGNIFICANT!!

NOTHING IS INSIGNIFICANT! There is a divine meaning in the existence of everything. As the greenness of no two blades of grass is alike, as the weight of no two pebbles on the beach is equal, so each life is the working out of individual principles and possibilities. No two lives lie along the exact same track. Each life has been given the sole permission to exercise certain exclusive powers. So I am trying to figure out where is my position and what is my mission in this life. My answer sometimes seems clear and other times I am doubting everything that I am doing. I know, I know it is a lie from satan, or is it? Couldn't it be God telling me that isn't where He wants me? I have no idea!

Anyway, I read the other day that there is something for you to do, which, if not done by you, will always remain undone. I am not sure I totally agree with that because I have heard that if you do not do something or use the gifts God gave you that he will ask someone or give your talent to someone who is more obediant. If that was true am I doing my part to do what God wants me to do, and honestly I don't know the answer to that.

The more I sit and think about who God made me to be and who I'm actually being is very far from where he wants me. I feel like I am totally sucktastic at being a "christian". The more I learn about what I am not supposed to be doing I am doing it more and the more I learn about how I am supposed to act towards others, I find I am getting meaner and offended more easily than I ever did before. AAAHHH what is going on, I have prayed about this and obviously I haven't learned my lesson yet because nothing seems to get better! Now it is my turn I guess to blog about needing some prayer!

do we ever waste time by worrying how sucktastic we are being instead of getting stubborn and moving past that and praising none-the-less??? just curious... i know i have...

Shhh...can you hear that? I think it's the sound of Scottie tooting his own horn...

in fact it is just the opposite... just being honest and saying that i waste too much of God's time trying to meet a certain standard and then beating myself up for not doing it... i just think that sometimes God says suck it up priest and move on...

I think most of us have had the same feeling. Perhaps my purpose is to befriend the friendless, and your purpose is to lead youth to God. Will we ever really know? Will God ever really tell us "You completed your purpose." Is that when we die? Or am I just rambling? Sometimes I feel "sucktastic" also, in the sense that I don't think i'm doing any good in anyones life. Maybe my purpose is to make people laugh. Who knows? I sure dont.
Maybe all you can do is just be obident to God so you won't miss your chance.

My apologies. I thought you were saying we were all sucktastic and you were Super Christian Boy. Which incidently made me want you to trip on your cape and fall off the Empire State building...just being honest.

Actually Scottie, I have still been praising God non-the-less. I am just mearly expressing my feelings of sucktasticness for the day! And I am not sure if I am really wasting time reflecting on what I may need to do better and asking for God to help me with that! Anywho, anonymous really screwed with my brain. I had to look up most of the words in the dictionary and I still have no idea what it means. I know where your coming from pepto!

I think it means "He who laughs last, laughs best..."

i couldn't help but notice the words "do better" in your comment... i think this is why we fall short so often... we concentrate so hard on what we should or should not do instead of being the people God intends for us to be...

i think if we say "if only i do this better or if only i do that better" we will always fall short... it starts with what you shared with me about praising anyway... that is where we can "just be" in God's presence and rest in His favor... i think we too often put our success on our works and efforts... just be with God and let what you do flow from that...

if that was confusing i have a post on my site that someone left a comment on that i could refer you to... she makes much more sense than me...

I agree that sometimes God wants us to "go with the flow" and just be...and sometimes this is an excuse for doing nothing. We are called to be people of action. Let's face it...God was, is, will always be better than us. And if we are to strive to be more and more like Christ, we can't just accept ourselves the way we are, we have to strive to be better. Which means accepting that we are flawed, but trying to clean ourselves up and see in ourselves the things He saw all along. If we are satisfied with ourselves the way we are, we cease to strive to be more like Him. The more we know Him, the less like Him we realize we are. We become more dependent on the Perfect One to change our hearts and minds. And He will hold us and help us and heal us, because He loves us and we are His children, no matter how short we fall.
